The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, with its short name CBRT, is the name of the central bank established in 1930 in Ankara. The main task of the bank is to determine monetary policies and to ensure the stability of financial markets, to protect the value of the Turkish lira and to fight inflation. It has an independent structure according to the law. The currency it is authorized to print is Turkish Lira and it is traded in the markets with TRY code.
