The Bank of Mexico, as the name suggests, is the central bank of Mexico. It is responsible for regulating monetary policies in Mexico. It is the last and authorized body of loans used in banks. The bank takes decisions with its own free will and is independent regarding monetary policies. Its main purpose, like every central bank, is to ensure price stability and to try to stabilize the purchasing power of individuals. The currency that the bank is authorized to print is known as MXN, short for Mexican Peso.
